Roma are hoping to recover Dutch fullback Rick Karsdorp as soon as possible after the player went down with a meniscus injury in the Europa League with Helsinki.

Following his diagnosis on Friday morning, Il Tempo reports that Karsdorp flew to Roma’s trusted clinic in St. Moritz in Switzerland.

The 28-year-old underwent successful surgery on his torn meniscus and was immediately flown back into the Italian capital with a private Friedkin jet.

According to earlier reports, Karsdorp is expected to miss out on 30-45 days of action and will likely return for the final stretch before the World Cup.
