There was tension between Roma and Brighton on the sidelines of last night’s return leg of the Europa League Round of 16.
As revealed in today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, shortly before the end of the first half, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi pushed Roma team manager Valerio Cardini, bringing even more nervousness to the sidelines and risk sparking a fight.
The two were then separated by Daniele De Rossi who hugged the former Sassuolo coach at the end of the match.
De Zerbi was not penalized by the referee following this episode.
