Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo returned to Italy’s starting line-up in tonight’s victorious friendly with Albania in Tirana.
Zaniolo played as a right winger, hitting the woodwork once. Eventually, he was substituted after 70 minutes of playing time.
Italy manager Roberto Mancini praised his performance in a post-match presser at full time.
“Zaniolo’s performance tonight was very positive,” said the Italian technician.
“Everyone did really well including Zaniolo who hadn’t played for us in a long time.”
