Former Roma striker Roberto Pruzzo – the club’s second leading goal-scorer of all time behind Francesco Totti – praised Paulo Dybala and his adaptability to Mourinho’s instructions in light of the Argentine’s brace against Monza in a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The lad deserved to score that brace. That morning I told myself it will happen and it did. I’m happy for him. Both were great goals, the first especially,” said the retired attacker.

“Despite being superior technically compared to everyone else he is humble, makes himself available, he gets busy and works hard.”

“A player like him is a treasure for the team: he deserves all the affection that the city of Rome is giving him. He deserves the love of Roma supporters. I had no doubts this would happen.”

“He’s also the right man to help Roma make the leap in quality. If he feels well, he will play consistently and continue to grow physically. For me Roma do not depend on him, the team is already there. But Paulo is a real gem.”
