Former Roma striker Roberto Pruzzo has weighed in on the team’s summer transfer activity—just days after the club announced the signing of Artem Dovbyk from Girona.
The Giallorossi finalised an agreement worth €37 million with the Spanish side for the Ukrainian, 27, their fifth signing of this summer’s transfer window after MatÃas Soulé, Samuel Dahl, Matthew Ryan, and Enzo Le Fée.
“Roma’s transfers? I’ll start at the back—I think fullback is a truly fundamental role and right now they’re incomplete,” Pruzzo told Radio Radio.
“I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility they try to sign another player in that role. I also still haven’t quite figured out who within the team is capable of consistently recovering the ball for Roma.”
He continued, “Though, I like the signing of [Matias] Soulé and hope he delights us with his creativity. As for the striker position, the club has put forth a massive effort and investment [for Dovbyk].”
“In fact, I think he’s capable of doing even better than [Romelu] Lukaku did last season.”
