Robin Olsen nearing permanent switch to Aston Villa from Roma

Swedish goal-keeper Robin Olsen – currently on loan at Aston Villa from Roma – is reportedly nearing a permanent switch to Steven Gerrard’s side.

According to Football Insider the 32-year-old, completed a loan move to Villa earlier in January, has impressed Gerard and English side’s management despite not making a single first-team appearance since his arrival.

The player’s entourage are reportedly in advanced talks to make the move permanent in June.

Olsen’s contract with the Giallorossi is set to expire in 2023. The Swedish shot-stopper has made it clear on multiple occasions that he wishes to continue his career in England.
