Roger Ibanez comments Roma’s “unlucky” Europa League loss with Betis

Roma defender Roger Ibanez sounded frustrated with a final result that – in his opinion – did not reflect the team’s performance in tonight’s Europa League defeat to Real Betis.

The Brazilian cente-back told Sky Sport, “We were a bit unlucky tonight. We had several chances to score.”

“Now there’s not much we can say, we have to get back on our feet: we play Lecce on Sunday, and then we face Betis in Spain.”

“Their goal-keeper did really well, but we were unlucky. It’s hard to say what went wrong.”

“Abraham and Zaniolo? They’re doing everything they can. They’re trying their hardest to score for the team.”
