Roger Ibanez details Roma’s late comeback vs Milan

Roma get a precious point out of tonight’s Serie A fixture at San Siro against Stefano Pioli’s men thanks to Roger Ibanez and Tammy Abraham’s late efforts to tie the match 2-2.

The Brazilian defender discussed the Giallorossi’s comeback in a post-match interview with DAZN.

“We knew it was going to happen. The important thing was to remain patient and wait for the right moment,” he said. “Down 0-2, the match seemed over. But then, after the first goal, we believed in ourselves. The game only ends when the referee blows the whistle.”

“Right from the start we knew Milan were good. And perhaps we waited a tad too long to react. Still, a point away from home is very important. We must continue to get points out of every game.”

“It was a difficult first half, we didn’t find the spaces. In the second half we managed to do that little bit more, two set pieces came our way and it happened.”
