Andy Mattioli

Roma centre-back Roger Ibañez is being eyed by two Premier League clubs ahead of the upcoming transfer window, reports calciomercato.com.

The Brazilian defender who, together with Chris Smalling and Gianluca Mancini, helped keep a crucial clean sheet with Feyenoord to gift Roma their first ever European trophy, has drawn the attention of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspurs.

Antonio Conte is a big fan of his and has been monitoring the defender over the course of the season.

Ibañez is among the players who, if the right offer were to come along, could leave this summer. Calciomercato.com claims that Tiago Pinto’s demands at least €30 million for the 23-year-old.

The ex-Atalanta man has a contract with the capital club valid until 2025. The main alternative to Ibañez is Feyenoord’s Marcos Senesi, who has been frequently linked with a move to the Giallorossi.
