Roma defender Roger Ibanez discussed the upcoming big match against Napoli on Sunday 29 January.
In a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian centreback discussed his consistent performances throughout the season so far, the Giallorossi’s defensive solid as well as their chances of getting a result in Naples.
“I always try to make myself available to the team,” said Ibanez. “There’s lots of games awaiting us. We had the break to think things through but now the schedule is getting extremely busy and we must be prepared.”
“So far this season I only missed one match,” he added. “I hope to keep this same level of consistency in the second half of the season, as well as help the team maintain its place as one of the best defensive sides in the league.”
“Napoli? It’s going to be a very tough game against the best team in the league. But it’s also an opportunity to reduce the gap between them. We know they’ve got a big advantage, but the season is still long.”
