Roger Ibanez says injuries are part of the journey ahead of Real Betis

Roma defender Roger Ibanez is embracing the challenge of facing Real Betis in their own home in Seville later tonight as Roma look to bounce back from a disappointing loss last week.

The Brazilian centre-back spoke to the club before the team’s trip to Spain on Wednesday afternoon. “They are a very good team but we come well prepared,” reassured the 23-year-old.

“We know what must be done on the pitch tonight,” he added.

“We have three key games left in the group. Tonight we must collect all three points and focus on the situation at hand.”

“Injuries are part of the game, it’s not an excuse, it can happen. Those of us who are lucky to play must give their all for the team.”
