Roma defender Roger Ibanez reaffirmed his trust in his team and Mourinho’s abilities ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League affair with Real Betis in Seville. The Brazilian centre-back joined the Special One in the pre-game presser.
“I think the team is doing well despite injuries,” Ibanez told reporters on Wednesday afternoon. “We work hard, we want to be strong. I am sure whoever plays tomorrow will play well.”
On the anticipation for the potential call-up for the upcoming World Cup Ibanez replied, “I am calm because I work hard for the club I play for. I have to work here in order to join the national team. I always have to do my best, that’s the important thing.”
“Before thinking about the national team, I must do my best here for this club,” he added.
“As the coach said, we must follow the discipline he instills in us. If we work the way he wants us to, we will go far. That’s how you collect key points in games.”
