Roma defender Roger Ibanez released an interview to Mondo Sportivo Brasil where he preview Sunday night’s clash with Napoli at Stadio Olimpico. The 23-year-old also discussed his team’s ambition to stay near the top of the league table.
“Sunday night will be a very important game for our position in the standings and we want to win to stay on top,” Ibanez told the Brazilian outlet.
“We had a good week to work and prepare for this match. We realize how difficult and balanced it will be,” he added.
“We have a clear objective in mind and we are trying to achieve it. There are many quality teams, but ours has managed to keep important players and also added quality reinforcements. We tried to maintain a good level and we did.”
