Roger Ibañez suffers knee injury in loss to Inter

Roger Ibanez of AS Roma

Roma defender Roger Ibañez was forced to exit last night’s game half-way through due to injury.

According to Sky Sport, the centre-back suffered a knock to the left knee while going for the ball at the same time as Inter wing-back Matteo Darmian.

The injury did not seem too serious but Mourinho decided against risking the 23-year-old and replaced him with Marash Kumbulla for the remainder of the match.

Ibañez’s condition will be monitored day-by-day and it remains to be seen whether he can recover in time for the upcoming league fixture vs Sassuolo.
