Roma suffered catastrophic blow this evening as they fell 1-0 to rivals Lazio in the latest installment of the Derby della Capitale.
In what was one of their worst performances of the season, the Giallorossi put on a lifeless display and were defeated by Maurizio Sarri's side, who were without top scorer Ciro Immobile and top assist man Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Felipe Anderson's first half goal off a horrific Roger Ibanez mistake was all Lazio needed to secure a vital three points and leapfrog Jose Mourinho's side in the Serie A standings.
The win moves the Biancocelesti to third in the table while sinking Roma out of the top four and into fifth place.
Once again, Roma's attack struggled to create any high quality goalscoring opportunities, finishing the evening with an expected goals (xG) just over 0.50.
The Giallorossi's biggest chances came at the feet of attacker Tammy Abraham. However, the Englishman's season-long struggles persisted and he couldn't put the ball into the back of the net.
