Roma defender Marash Kumbulla made his European debut this evening as he featured for the Giallorossi in their Europa League victory over Swiss side Young Boys.
After trailing 1-0, the Giallorossi scored twice in the second half with the Albanian international bagging the winner, his first goal for the club since having joined last month from Hellas Verona.
“It was an incredible debut for me, I scored and thanks to my goal we ended up winning — but I’m happier for the team, though,” he said to Sky Sport.
“We struggled with their pressing in the first half, but we took our chances in the second half and did better.”
“How am I adapting to Roma? It’s gone smoothly thanks to the manager and team, who made immediately made me fell welcome. It wouldn’t have been this easy without them.”
