Roma continue their pursuit of Lecce midfielder Morten Hjulmand who is reportedly the club’s primary target for the midfield ahead of the summer.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, General Manager Tiago Pinto is in direct contact with Lecce’s management and is holding regular talks with the club based in Puglia.
The relations between the two sides are very positive and Roma are hoping to anticipate the interest of other Serie A teams including Juventus and Atalanta.
The newspaper reveals that Lecce rejected a €14 million offer from Southampton in January and prefer to capitalize on Hjulmand’s sale in this summer window, with Roma being the favorites to sign the Danish midfielder.
