Roma add Atalanta’s Sartori to list of Sporting Director candidates

Roma’s search for a new Sporting Director marches on.

It emerged yesterday that Roma have met multiple times with Shakhtar Donetsk’s José Boto, however, Il Romanista reports that the Portuguese executive has some question marks surrounding the Friedkin’s and their project.

Meanwhile, another name has been added to the list of potential candidates to fill the vacancy of the Giallorossi: Atalanta’s Giovanni Sartori.

Reportedly, the 63 year-old, who is currently the Technical Director of the Bergamo-based side, is flattered by the interest from Roma and would consider a proposal from the club should the Friedkin’s make a concrete offer.

One of the reasons that Sartori would be open to departing La Dea is due to his relations with manager Gian Piero Gasperini having gradually deteriorated throughout the past few years.
