Roma are working incessantly on the surprise signing of Artem Dovbyk from Girona.

After securing an agreement for Matias Soule of Juventus, the Giallorossi are ready to move to their next target for this summer.

In the last two days, Roma opened talks with Ukrainian striker and La Liga’s top goal-scorer Artem Dovbyk.

The player was set to join Atletico Madrid but talks between the Spanish club and Dovbyk’s entourage came to a halt over a difference in views regarding commissions.

Roma utilized this as their opportunity to enter talks with Dovbyk’s agents.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, it took the club only a day to find an agreement on personal terms with the player.

With this strength, Roma are now negotiating with Girona, putting on the table an offer of around 32 million euros + bonuses.

The agents of the Ukrainian striker, who are still in Rome, are doing a great job of mediating between the two clubs.

Roma’s aim is to close the deal as soon as possible.

The signs therefore remain positive for a successful operation, with Roma aiming to give Daniele De Rossi the new striker in the coming days.
