La Gazetta dello Sport: The transfer window never stops and for Roma, it cannot come soon enough.

The Giallorossi have faced a long list of injuries this season and hope springs eternal in January, where there’s an opportunity to bring much needed reinforcements.

We all know the situation of Salah: he will be unavailable for some time in the winter due to the African Cup of Nations. Roma have already started talks and the main target is Depay of Manchester United. Mourinho no longer wants the player and a solution can likely be found on the basis of a loan with an option to buy. Other profiles Roma like are El Ghazi of Ajax, who is also ready to leave, and Ntep of Rennes, whose contract expires this summer. Alex Vidal, who can play as a right back or winger, is also a possibility given Luis Enrique has already stated he has no use for the player. Roma already plan on holding talks with Barca regarding the situation of Vermaelen and Vidal could ultimately be a topic of discussion. Roma also like Papu Gomez, but Atalanta may wait until the summer to sell him.

The Giallorossi also plan to bring one midfielder to Trigoria in January. Massara may decide to shop for his midfielder in the Italian market, with his radar aimed in Genoa. Linetty, the young Polish midfielder of Sampdoria, and Rincon of Genoa are the players that intrigue Massara the most. Other candidates include Dioussè of Empoli and Kessie of Atalanta: however, his cost may be too excessive.
