Roma are reportedly eyeing Bournemouth midfielder Hamed Traore.

The former Sassuolo man – who joined Bournemouth in the summer for €22 million – is said to be interested in a return to Serie A in order to obtain more playing time seeing as he’s failed to impose himself in the Cherries’ squad this season after having dealt with a long spell of malaria.

Traore is said to have fully recovered, having consulted with a specialist in Italy. The player has received the green light for his return to the pitch.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, several sides in Italy’s top flight are interested in Traore.

Di Marzio reports that Roma have also shown interest in the 23-year-old, along with Napoli and AC Milan.

Roma could try and sign Traore on loan only in case of Renato Sanches’ departure from the capital.
