Roma and Chelsea continue to be locked in negotiations for Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.

Club officials are still in London after arriving there on Friday and are expected to remain there until tomorrow.

The objective is to reach a definite agreement for Lukaku’s loan which is difficult and requires patience and caution on both sides.

According to Sky Sport, Chelsea are asking for a fixed loan fee of €10 million whereas Roma are offering €5 million.

The two clubs could meet halfway and settle for €7-8 million.

Moreover, Romelu Lukaku will be required to lower his salary down to the region of €6-7 million per year, akin to the sum he earned at Inter last season.

Talks are progressing with both clubs wanting to reach an agreement.
