Last night Roma and Fulham were reportedly close to exchanging documents for Dutch attacker Justin Kluivert when the English football association blocked the transfer.
Kluivert’s work permit was initially declined as the player did not meet the criteria that would make him an eligible candidate.
Now, Roma and Fulham are waiting to receive a final verdict on the matter after the deal was stalled and several sources claimed it was off.
According Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, the two clubs are still waiting for FA’s report on the situation with the hope of finding a prompt solution as the transfer deadline looms only a day away.
