Edin Dzeko’s future at Roma remains in the balance after his fallout with manager Paulo Fonseca last week.
The Bosnian clashed with the Portuguese technician after their elimination in the Coppa Italia last week and has been barred from participating with his teammates in full training.
Fonseca’s decision has been backed by the club hierarchy and even though finding a deal is difficult, it’s possible that the former Manchester City man could leave the Italian capital before the close of the transfer window next week.
Both Sky Sport and SportItalia have reported that Roma and Inter are engaged in negotiations regarding a swap deal involving Dzeko and the Nerazzurri’s Alexis Sánchez.
Finding a total agreement before the window shuts will be very difficult as the discussions are still at a very early stage — with the clubs pondering a loan swap involving the pair.
However, it’s becoming increasingly clearer that the rapport between Edin Dzeko and Roma is irreparable.
