Roma and Inter reach agreement for Spinazzola-Politano swap

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Roma and Inter have reached an agreement for the swap of Leonardo Spinazzola and Matteo Politano.

The two clubs and the players’ agents are now at work to find an agreement on the contracts — but what we do know, as of now, is that it will a permanent swap and not an exchange of loans. It is most likely that each will join the opposite side on loan with an obligation to buy.

The move would signal an end to Spinazzola’s time in the Italian capital. The former Atalanta man arrived in the summer from Juve as Luca Pellegrini went the other direction and joined the Bianconeri. Spinazzola was among the most expensive purchases in the Giallorossi’s history — however, he struggled between unimpressive performances and injuries.
