Roma are among the teams to have held preliminary talks with Tigre attacker Mateo Retegui.
Retegui – who recently earned his first call-up with Italy’s national team – has caught the attention of several Serie A sides over the past year.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma, Milan and Inter have all made inquiries with the player’s entourage to assess his availability in the upcoming summer window.
The player is reportedly feeling ready to make his switch to Europe after two impressive years at Tigre, with a total of 28 goals and 4 assists in 48 appearances.
Udinese also tried joining the race for Retegui earlier in January, but Tigre denied their approach. So far, Milan and Roma seem to be in a more advanced position to sign the young talent in the summer.
