Roma are once again being linked with Empoli shot-stopper Guglielmo Vicario whose impressive performances for the Tuscan side have caught the attention of several top clubs in Italy.
As reported in today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, several Italian teams have inquired about Vicario. However, Roma and Napoli are the ones leading the race – both clubs have held preliminary talks with the player’s entourage over the last few months.
The Giallorossi are in search of a long-term replacement for Rui Patricio whose contract expires in 2025. Roma are also monitoring Atalanta keeper Marco Carnesecchi, but the Bergamaschi’s asking price is considerably too high for the time being.
