Following a severe fracture in his leg, Gini Wijnaldum is looking at a return date somewhere scheduled down the road in January or February according to the latest reports.
The Dutchman is still walking with a cast, but the recovery is going as planned. However, a change could take place with regards to the player’s loan in the Italian capital.
As reported by calciomercato.com, Roma plan to meet with Paris Saint-Germain in January to rediscuss the terms of Wijnaldum’s loan.
Given the severe injury, the Giallorossi want to ask for a discount on the option to buy based on the midfielder’s appearances once he’s fit to play. PSG seem to be keen on accepting the possibility of a discount.
The excellent relations between the two clubs are likely to play a part in these negotiations.
