Roma are working on the signing of Lorenz Assignon from Rennes.
The French right-back is currently the club’s favorite to reinforce the right flank, a player Roma are confident can rotate with Zeki Celik.
Over the last few days, Roma opened talks with Rennes to discuss the conditions of a transfer.
According to Sky Sport, recent negotiations between the two clubs have involved the possibility of including Rick Karsdorp in a deal for Assignon.
The out-of-favor Roma defender could end up at the French club only on the condition that Roma contribute to the payment of his salary (2.5 million euros net).
Rennes values Assignon at 11 million euros and Aston Villa is also interested in the player, but at the moment the Giallorossi are Assignon’s priority.
