Roma return to league play on Monday evening with they travel to Bergamo to face-off against Atalanta in a match filled with European place implications.

Fresh off their progression into the Europa League semi-finals over Feyenoord, Jose Mourinho’s men will be tasked keeping a firm grip on the fourth and final Champions League league place.

The Giallorossi’s position in the table took a turn on Thursday just before kick off against Feyenoord when it was revealed Juventus were temporarily restored the 15-points penalty levied against them in January pending an appeal.

As a result, the capital club dropped from third to fourth in Serie A, three points behind the Bianconeri, who face Napoli in Campania on Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, both Jose Mourinho and Gian Piero Gasperini are expected to make changes to their formations on Monday due to rest or injuries.

The Giallorossi will be without veteran pair Chris Smalling and Gini Wijnaldum, both of whom suffered knocks on Thursday.

As for the hosts, they’ll be without their top scorer Ademola Lookman, who remains out due to a groin strain suffered ten days ago.

The two sides kick off on Monday at 20.45 CET at the Gewiss Stadium.

ATALANTA (3-4-1-2): Sportiello; Toloi, Djimsiti, Scalvini; Zappacosta, De Roon, Koopmeiners, Maehle; Ederson; Hojlund, Zapata

ROMA (3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Llorente, Ibanez; Celik, Cristante, Matic, Zalewski; Dybala Pellegrini; Abraham
