Roma are in talks to sign Santos attacker Marcos Leonardo.
The Brazilian forward has become Roma’s priority following their recent withdrawal from the race for Gianluca Scamacca.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, the capital club have formulated an offer for Leonardo and are now waiting for a response from Santos who are evaluating the situation given that incoming transfer window in Brazil winds to an end today.
Santos are expected to make a decision in the next few hours.
The player has given priority to Roma despite receiving interest from Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.
