Roma are aiming to extend Chris Smalling’s contract.
The Englishman is currently set to become a free agent in June unless he chooses to renew his stay in the Italian capital.
According to Il Messaggero, Inter’s interest in the ex-Man United defender prompted the Giallorossi to offer Smalling’s entourage a two-year deal.
The club, however, are still waiting on the player’s response: this month should be key in determining Smalling’s future in the Italian capital as the veteran centreback continues to draw interest from other clubs ahead of free agency.
