Following the official submission of their appeal on Friday, Roma are eagerly awaiting UEFA’s verdict regarding the potential reduction of Zaniolo’s three-match ban in Europa League.
The capital club are hoping to have the sentence reduced to two games, in order for the 23-year-old to be available for Thursday’s crucial return leg at the Olimpico with Ludogorets.
As reported by Il Tempo, UEFA are expected to communicate their final verdict later today.
From a physical point of view, Zaniolo’s condition is no cause for concern – the Italian newspaper informs – after he exited the match with Hellas Verona due to a painful knock to the thigh.
