After being deal with a heavy blow in the form of Gini Wijnaldum’s serious injury suffered in yesterday’s training session, Roma are carefully evaluating the situation with regards to alternatives to the Dutchman who signed with the club less than two weeks ago.
According to Italian journalist Alessandro Austini of Il Tempo, Roma are in no rush to search for alternatives on the market.
The capital club await Wijnaldum’s medical tests and final decision regarding potential surgery which will provide Roma with a more accurate timeline of recovery.
Wijnaldum is expected to visit Dr. Georg Ahlbaumer from St. Moriz clinic for a consultation which will help determine the recovery period for the Dutch midfielder.
