RomaPress – Last Wednesday, the 13th of January, the deal that would see FC Dallas right back Bryan Reynolds join Benevento, with the help of Juventus, was just hours away from being finalised.
The Italian intermediary working on behalf of the Bianconeri on the deal, Franck Trimboli, and those within Roma’s parent company,The Friedkin Group, all believed that the American defender was set to initially join Pippo Inzaghi’s side before moving to Torino.
Over the past week, though, the parties have been unable to agree on the final details of the transfer, which opened the door for Roma and General Director, Tiago Pinto, to return with an improved proposal for the right back.
The Giallorossi are now in pole position to land Reynolds after Pinto gave the “OK” to Paolo Busardò, the Italian agent who has been serving as the intermediary for the club in the negotiations, to raise their offer for the 19 year-old.
Reynold’s representatives will reunite with the Bianconeri this morning in order to give Andrea Agnelli’s side the chance to raise and improve their offer.
