Work has officially begun on the archaeological excavations in Pietralata.
This marks the first operational step towards the construction of the new Roma stadium.
This morning a van arrived on site with materials for fencing the construction site area, signaling the concrete start of the preliminary intervention.
Also guarding the area were two police vehicles and about fifty protesters from the civic coordination group “Yes to the park, yes to the hospital, No to the stadium”, who are against the project for environmental and urban planning reasons.
