Roma begin search for midfielder to replace injured Wijnaldum

With Gini Wijnaldum going down for a long period of time with a fractured tibia in his right leg, Roma are now set on finding a suitable replacement on the market as the transfer window winds to an end.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, General Manager Tiago Pinto will begin tomorrow his search for an additional midfielder to be brought in in this window.

The idea is to sign someone with enough experience to grant Mourinho the possibility of turnover as Roma will be competing on several fronts at once.

Pinto is expected to accelerate talks with several agents over the coming days.
