Stephan El Shaarawy wants to stay in the Italian capital beyond this season and, as a result, is trying to convince the club to renew his expiring contract.
The Roma attacker has been one of the best and most reliable performers this season, often praised by Jose Mourinho for his self-sacrifice and hard work on and off the pitch.
According to La Repubblica, Roma are also interested in renewing El Shaarawy’s stay. General Manager Tiago Pinto is on good terms with the Italian winger and his entourage.
The club hope to find an agreement for a new long-term deal with lower wages as the player currently makes up to €4.5 million with add-ons.
