Roma-Cagliari reach agreement for Fazio: all that’s missing is the “OK” of the defender

Roma and Cagliari have reached an agreement for the transfer of Argentine defender Federico Fazio.

Sky Sport reports that the two clubs found an agreement on a permanent deal for the 33 year-old worth €2.5 million plus €500,000 in potential bonuses.

Cagliari boss and ex-Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco has been keen to reunite with his former central defender, who originally joined the Giallorossi in the summer of 2016 from Tottenham Hotspur for a total fee of €4.3 million.

All that is missing to finalise the deal is the final “OK” from Fazio, who made only 16 league appearances this past season under manager Paulo Fonseca.
