Leonardo Spinazzola met earlier today with Dr. Lasse Lempainen – the surgeon that operated on his ruptured Achilles tendon in July – to discuss the progress of his recovery.
Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo reports that the meeting went well and the medical tests that the Italian wing-back underwent showed growing optimism regarding the final stages of recovery.
However, Roma do not intend to make any rushed decisions for Spinazzola’s return to the pitch.
The club want the player to regain his confidence and feel 100% comfortable before joining the rest of his teammates in group training.
No return date has been set thus far, reports Biafora.
