Roma CEO Lina Souloukou spoke publicly for the first time about the club’s stadium project in the works.
The Greek executive – who joined Roma before the end of the season replacing former CEO Pietro Berardi – took over responsibilities for the club’s new stadium which has the planned opening date of 2027 to celebrate Roma’s centennary.
In an interview with New Sound Level, Souloukou confirmed that talks with the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, are progressing.
“We met with the Mayor and the meeting went well,” said Souloukou. “There’s still lots of work that needs to be done for the stadium.”
“The Mayor liked the new kit very much,” she added, alluding to Roma’s new Adidas jerseys for the upcoming 23/24 campaign.
