Roma are tracking Monza technical director Francois Modesto as the leading candidate for their sporting director vacancy.
The capital club seem to have identified the Frenchman as the ideal replacement of Tiago Pinto who departed Roma in February after concluding his 3-year deal.
The latest edition of La Repubblica claims Roma have already made formal steps toward appointing Modesto.
In today’s report, the newspaper suggest that Roma CEO Lina Souloukou recently met with Monza executive Adriano Galliani to discuss Modesto’s future.
During the meeting, the need for Roma to immediately have the new sporting director operational in Trigoria was discussed at length with the possibility of seeing Modesto free himself from his duties at Monza prior to 30 June.
