Roma CEO Pietro Berardi shares update on stadium project

The club’s CEO, Pietro Berardi, shared an update regarding the long-awaited stadium project that is taking shape. Earlier today the club made an official announcement about its plan to present a study for the construction of the establishment in the Pietralata district.

Berardi’s words were reported by Il Romanista as the CEO unveiled the Conference League trophy at the Stadio Olimpico.

“There is an understanding that we want to build the stadium by 2026,” said the CEO.

“We will have to work a lot on both sides, but so far everything has gone well so I want to thank the mayor and his team for the support they have given us.”

“It was important to advance this idea and make the announcement today. Now we have to get to work.”

“We don’t have the final project ready. There are some steps one must take first.”

“You need to carry out archaeological, environmental and acoustic studies. We have covered all necessary steps leading up to the final stage. There is still no design of the stadium, it is still early, it will take shape in the coming weeks or months.”

“So far we have kept it to ourselves, we will always decide with the municipality to communicate the relevant stages together.”

“Like today when we communicated the identified area. These decisions will be taken with the mayor’s permission.”
