Roma are edging closer to an agreement with midfielder Bryan Cristante for his renewal which will see him extend his stay in the Italian capital until 2027, reports La Repubblica.
The club and Cristante’s entourage had been in talks for a while, but now the parties seem ready to sign highly-anticipated agreement as Jose Mourinho is one of Cristante’s big supporters and pushed for the player’s renewal since first being appointed manager of the club.
According to the newspaper, Cristante will go on to earn around €3 million including add-ons, reflecting his status as one of the team’s primary leaders along with Lorenzo Pellegrini and Gianluca Mancini.
The ex-Atalanta man is said to be a very important presence in the team’s dressing room, one that both Mourinho and Tiago Pinto value immensely.
