Roma closing in on Gonzalo Villar

RomaPress – After Roger Ibañez and perhaps Carles Pèrez, Gonzalo Villar is also closing in on a move to Roma.

Elche have accepted Roma’s of €4 million plus €1 million in bonuses — but the Giallorossi have been waiting on Valencia to decide whether or not they will activate their option of €1 million to own the player outright. The Spanish side has opted against doing so and the player, who already has an agreement in place with Roma, is closing in on a switch to the Italian capital.

There are also a couple of clues that a move is close: Elche has not called Villar up for today’s match against Almeria. Furthermore, the midfielder has started following Roma on Instagram within the hour.
