Roma are reportedly closing in on Juventus defender Dean Huijsen.

The capital club have inquired about the 18-year-old centreback and shown willingness in wanting to sign him in January.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma broke into talks between Juve and Frosinone for the loan of Huijsen.

The Dutch defender seemed destined to join Frosinone on loan but Roma’s approach seems to have changed his mind.

Di Marzio claims Huijsen is now determined to push for a move to the Italian capital instead, whereas Juventus want to respect their initial agreement with Frosinone.

During the day, Juventus met the Dutchman’s entourage at Continassa to discuss the situation. Frosinone, meanwhile, wait.

Roma hopes to obtain the dry loan of the 18-year-old and give José Mourinho a new defender.
