Roma communicate to Chelsea intention to keep Lukaku on permanent deal

Andy Mattioli

Roma have made contact with Chelsea over the possibility of acquiring Romelu Lukaku on a permanent basis.

Following his impressive start to life at Roma, Lukaku is now the capital club’s main priority ahead of next season.

The Giallorossi consider the striker to be an essential part of their long-term plans and thus beyond the current dry loan he’s on.

According to calciomercato.com, Roma have already communicated to Chelsea their intention to make Lukaku’s signing permanent.

The club’s General Manager, Tiago Pinto, is now trying to inquire about the feasibility of a discount on Chelsea’s original asking price of €38 million.
