RomaPress – In what would be one of the biggest transfer coups in the club’s recent history, Roma find themselves in the driver’s seat to land free agent attacker Paulo Dybala.
The Giallorossi and Napoli have been in constant contact with La Joya’s agent, Jorge Antun, over the previous three days after Inter made it clear they wouldn’t be able to finalise a deal.
Both offers intrigued the attacker but calls from Roma manager Jose Mourinho and general manager Tiago Pinto have dramatically turned the tide in the capital club’s favor.
When speaking to the attacker, they underscored the important role he would be given in the team. In addition, Mourinho expounded on his tactical vision with Dybala in his team, insisting he’d be in a better position to score goals compared to how he’s been deployed in recent seasons.
Their pressing has worked with Dybala growing increasingly convinced of accepting their offer and spurning Napoli’s advances.
The capital club are scheduled to meet late tomorrow morning with Antun where they hope to receive a definitive answer to their offer.
