Roma confirm Davide Zappacosta tears ACL

Roma have been dealt another huge injury blow. The Giallorossi confirmed that fullback Davide Zappacosta did indeed suffer a torn ACL in today’s training session. The former Torino man is now likely to miss the remainder of the season, however, it remains to be seen what his future holds due to his loan deal expiring in January.

“The club’s medical staff have issued the following update on the condition of Davide Zappacosta. During Friday’s training session, defender Davide Zappacosta suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, in a non-contact incident. The club would like to offer its sincerest sympathies to the player, and wishes him a quick and full recovery”.
