Roma are being linked with free agent defender Nikola Maksimovic who is yet to sign with a club after concluding his spell with Genoa earlier in the summer.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the 30-year-old centre-back is an option Roma are considering given their need for an additional defender to further strengthen Jose Mourinho’s backline.
Maksimovic recently entered agency after only one year at Genoa. Before that, the Serbian footballer spent 5 years at Napoli including one season on loan at Spartak Moscow.
Turkish giants Galatasaray are also interested and have advanced a first official bid.
